INTI IU Bachelor of Business (Hons) Accounting: Fees
Bachelor of Business (Hons) Accounting at INTI International University costs RM 83,449 total over 3 years. Fee table, Nilai living costs and funds.
The short answer
The Bachelor of Business (Hons) Accounting at INTI International University is listed at RM 83,449 total for the programme, which runs 3 years (newinti.edu.my). Intakes are January, May and August, and the award is an INTI honours degree.
Note the word "total". That figure is the whole-programme tuition as published, not a yearly fee. Most families make one of two mistakes here: they read a total as an annual fee and panic, or they read an annual fee as a total and under-budget. INTI publishes this one as a total, so treat it as the tuition line for all three years and confirm the instalment schedule in your offer letter before you transfer anything.

What this table does not include
Tuition is one line. It does not cover the EMGS and medical charges, accommodation, food, transport, or the visa steps. Those are set out below as separate figures. Do not add them together in your head and treat the result as a fixed number β quote each line to your family separately, because each one is billed by a different party at a different time.
If you do not meet direct entry from Class 12
The Nepali student who cannot get a direct bachelor offer usually goes via Foundation in Business first, then into the degree. INTI's Foundation in Business is published at RM 21,931 total for 1 year. That is a separate programme with its own fee β the foundation fee and the degree fee are two bills, not one, and nobody at the counter will combine them for you.
On the Malaysian qualifications ladder, a Bachelor's (Hons) sits at MQF 6 and takes 3β4 years, with entry either direct from Class 12 / A-Level / IB meeting the cutoff, or via a Foundation or Diploma. A Diploma (MQF 4β5, 2β2.5 years) gives credit-exempt entry into Bachelor Year 2 at many institutions β ask INTI in writing whether that applies to this accounting degree before you commit to a diploma.
English requirement
INTI does not appear with its own published English table in our spine, so do not accept a number from any counsellor who quotes one from memory. For safe admission and visa purposes at a Malaysian private university, the working benchmarks are:
- Foundation / Diploma: IELTS 5.5
- Bachelor: IELTS 6.0β6.5
- Master: IELTS 6.0β6.5
TOEFL, PTE, MUET and in some cases Duolingo are accepted at level-equivalent scores, but this is programme-specific β verify against the exact programme, not the institution. Waivers based on English-medium instruction plus a strong Class-12 or O-Level English result are frequently accepted, but the institution decides, not the agent. If you are below target, most Malaysian institutions run an in-house intensive English programme (typically around 10 weeks per level) that satisfies entry in place of IELTS and is EMGS-recognised for the Student Pass.
The catch worth knowing: a waiver letter from the university is not the same as a test result, and the EMGS file is stronger with a test. If your score is borderline, sit the test.
Living in Putra Nilai
INTI International University is in Putra Nilai. Rent there is at the lower end of the Malaysian market, but transport is the trade-off β rail is limited, so students rely on university transport, Grab or carpooling.
| Cost item (Nilai) | Range |
|---|---|
| Shared room | RM 120β220 |
| Studio | RM 180β350 |
| Total monthly budget | RM 1,300β2,000 |
| On-campus residence | Listed as on-campus β verify current rates with INTI |
| Transport | Limited rail; university transport / Grab / carpool |
For comparison, Kuala Lumpur budgets run RM 1,800β3,000 a month and Subang Jaya / Sunway City RM 1,700β2,600. The most reliable officially published living quote in our data is from APU in Kuala Lumpur: residence RM 1,120β1,390 per month and a total budget of RM 1,500β3,000 per month, broken down as food RM 600β1,200, transport RM 100β300 and utilities RM 50β150. Other city figures, including Nilai, are market ranges β confirm them on the institution's own accommodation page. Malaysia overall sits around RM 1,500β2,500 per month, far below Sydney, London or Toronto.

Funds and documents for the Student Pass
There is an important honesty point here. EMGS and Immigration publish no single statutory minimum funds figure for Malaysia. Anyone who tells you "the minimum is X" is quoting a planning estimate, not a rule. The planning components our spine uses for a Year-1 estimate are:
| Planning component | Figure |
|---|---|
| Tuition component β Bachelor (private university) | RM 28,000 |
| Living-cost baseline | RM 24,000 |
| EMGS charges, Year 1 | RM 2,000 |
| Medical | RM 275 |
These are separate lines. Present them separately to the bank and to your parents. The planner scales the household requirement upward if dependants travel β the multipliers are 1.5 for a student plus spouse, 1.8 with one child and 2.1 with two children. Always confirm the exact figure requested with INTI and EMGS at application time, because the institution's own quote overrides any estimate.
Document checklist
- Offer letter β conditional or unconditional, from an EMGS-approved institution.
- Passport β valid at least 12β18 months beyond the intended study period.
- Academic transcripts and certificates β attested copies of the qualification used for admission.
- English proficiency proof β IELTS/TOEFL/PTE, or an institution English-medium / waiver letter.
- Financial proof β bank statements, fixed deposits, or a sponsor/scholarship letter covering tuition plus living for at least one year.
- eVAL (electronic Visa Approval Letter) β issued after EMGS approval, required before you apply for the Single Entry Visa.
- Single Entry Visa (SEV) β Nepali nationals apply through the official eVISA portal using the eVAL, before travelling.
- Health/medical clearance β pre-departure medical, plus a mandatory post-arrival medical within 7 days of landing.
- Insurance β health cover for the study period, usually bundled into the EMGS fee quote.
- Passport photos β to EMGS/Immigration specification; confirm current requirements with INTI.
Budget 3β4 months end-to-end for Student Pass approval via EMGS once you hold an offer letter. Start the moment you accept. Document and financial verification tends to be more thorough for Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh applicants, and that extra scrutiny is where timelines slip.

Before you commit
INTI is a private Malaysian university, so the award is INTI's own MQA-accredited degree β recognised locally and by employers who know the brand. That is different from a branch campus, which awards the parent university's degree. Neither is wrong; they are different products at different prices. The QS position INTI markets is roughly #509β516 for QS 2026, but that is INTI-marketed and you should verify it on QS directly rather than taking it from a brochure.
On accounting specifically: Malaysian private universities often hold professional-body exemptions (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA), and for an accounting degree those exemptions are worth more than any ranking. Ask INTI in writing which exemptions this exact programme carries, for which papers, and whether they apply to your intake. Do not rely on a counsellor's summary.
And be realistic about after graduation. Malaysia does not offer a broad open post-study work visa of the kind Australia, New Zealand or Canada run. Staying on means an employer sponsors an Employment Pass after a job offer, and from 1 June 2026 the EP salary floors make that harder for fresh graduates, because many entry-level jobs pay below the threshold. During the course, part-time work is permitted up to 20 hours a week during scheduled breaks and holidays only β not during term β subject to Student Pass conditions and university approval.
Common questions
Is the RM 83,449 for the Accounting degree a yearly fee or the total?
It is published as RM 83,449 total for the 3-year Bachelor of Business (Hons) Accounting. It is not an annual figure. Confirm the instalment schedule β how much is due per semester β in your offer letter before making any payment.
Does the fee include accommodation and the EMGS charges?
No. Tuition is a separate line from accommodation, food, transport, EMGS charges and the medical. In Nilai, shared rooms run RM 120β220 and a total monthly student budget runs RM 1,300β2,000; the Year-1 planning components include EMGS RM 2,000 and medical RM 275, billed separately.
What IELTS score do I need for this degree at INTI?
INTI does not have its own published English table in our data, so we will not quote an INTI-specific number. The safe working benchmark for a bachelor's at a Malaysian private university is IELTS 6.0β6.5, with TOEFL, PTE and MUET accepted at level-equivalent scores depending on the programme. Confirm the requirement for this exact programme with INTI, and if your score is borderline, sit the test rather than relying on a waiver.
How early should we apply for the January, May or August intake?
Budget 3β4 months end-to-end for EMGS Student Pass approval after you have the offer letter, and begin immediately on acceptance. Nepali applicants routinely face closer financial and document checks, so a late start is the most common reason a student misses an intake and waits four months for the next one.
