ACCA Professional Qualification (Online) at LSBF MY: Fees
LSBF Malaysia's online ACCA Professional Qualification is priced per paper, from £350 to £795. Fees, intakes and KL living costs for Nepali students.
The short answer on fees
The ACCA Professional Qualification (Online) at London School of Business & Finance Malaysia (LSBF MY) is priced per paper, not per year: from £350/paper (Applied Knowledge) up to £795/paper (Strategic Professional) (lsbf.edu.my). There is one detail that catches most families: these are LSBF's global online-programme rates in GBP, not a Malaysia-campus ringgit rate, so the figure you are quoted by the Kuala Lumpur campus may be presented differently — verify local pricing in writing before you pay anything.
Per-paper pricing changes how you should budget. You are not signing up for a fixed annual tuition bill. You pay as you progress through ACCA exam levels, and the price rises as you move up the levels.
Fee structure by ACCA level
| ACCA level | LSBF MY online tuition fee (as published) |
|---|---|
| Applied Knowledge | From £350/paper |
| Applied Skills | Not published in our source — request in writing from LSBF MY |
| Strategic Professional | Up to £795/paper |

Three things this table does not include
- ACCA's own fees. ACCA (the professional body in the UK) charges its own initial registration, annual subscription and exam entry fees directly to you. Those are separate from LSBF tuition and are not published in our source. Ask LSBF MY for a written breakdown of what is LSBF tuition and what you pay to ACCA.
- Resit costs. Per-paper pricing means a failed paper is a repeat cost. Build that into the family budget honestly rather than assuming a first-time pass on every paper.
- The total. We are not going to multiply the per-paper figure by a number of papers for you, because your paper count depends on the exemptions ACCA grants you for your existing qualifications. Get your exemption assessment from ACCA first, then ask LSBF MY to quote the papers you actually need.
That last point is the most important sentence in this guide. Two Nepali students with different Bachelor's degrees can face very different paper counts, and therefore very different total costs, for the same qualification.

Because study is structured around the four ACCA exam sittings a year, your start date is effectively decided by which sitting you are preparing for. If you miss a sitting window, the next one is months away. Plan registration and exemption paperwork well ahead of the sitting you are aiming at.
LSBF sits in Malaysia's "specialist provider" category — a purpose-built professional pathway rather than a full degree portfolio. It is not ranked, because professional schools are not ranked in the way universities are. If you want an MQA-accredited Malaysian degree or a UK/Australian branch-campus degree instead, that is a different decision — start on the Malaysia destination hub and run your profile through the free Master Reckoner to compare courses, costs, entry requirements and English requirements side by side.
Do you need a Student Pass for an online programme?
This is where Nepali families lose money. An online programme studied from Nepal is a different thing from moving to Kuala Lumpur.
- If you study online from Nepal, you are not applying for a Malaysian Student Pass, and the EMGS process below does not apply to you. Confirm this in writing with LSBF MY before you budget for a visa or a flight.
- If you intend to be physically in Malaysia, ask LSBF MY directly whether this specific programme is EMGS-approved for a Student Pass. Do not assume that because an institution is in Malaysia, every one of its programmes carries a Student Pass. A refusal at that stage is expensive and entirely avoidable.
For on-campus study in Malaysia generally, EMGS and Immigration publish no single statutory minimum funds figure. Our planning baseline uses published Year-1 costs of RM 2,000 for EMGS and RM 275 for the medical, plus a living-cost baseline of RM 24,000, and financial proof is expected to cover tuition plus living for at least one year. Confirm the exact figure requested with the institution and EMGS at application time — we do not add these together into one number, because the institution will tell you what it actually wants to see.
Counsellor note: for on-campus routes, budget 3–4 months end to end for Student Pass approval via EMGS once an offer letter is in hand. Nepali, Indian, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi applicants tend to face more thorough document and financial verification, so start the moment you accept an offer.
Living costs if you study from Kuala Lumpur
LSBF MY is in Kuala Lumpur. If you plan to be in the city while completing ACCA papers, these are the published ranges for the KL market:
| Cost item (Kuala Lumpur) | Range |
|---|---|
| Shared room | RM 350–800 |
| Studio | RM 1,200–2,000 |
| Total monthly budget | RM 1,800–3,000 |
| Transport | Good LRT/MRT rail plus Grab for the last mile |
The most reliable official quote in the KL market is APU's own residence figure of RM 1,120–1,390/mo, with an APU total budget of RM 1,500–3,000/mo (food RM 600–1,200, transport RM 100–300, utilities RM 50–150). Malaysia overall runs RM 1,500–2,500/mo, far below Sydney, London or Toronto. Cheaper towns exist — Nilai and Kuching both show shared rooms at RM 120–220 and total budgets of RM 1,300–2,000 — but they are nowhere near LSBF's Kuala Lumpur campus, so they are not a real option for this programme.
Entry and English requirements
Our source does not publish a specific English test score for the ACCA Professional Qualification (Online) at LSBF MY. Do not guess it, and do not let an agent guess it for you — ask LSBF MY in writing what English evidence they require for this programme.
For context, across Malaysian institutions generally the default published expectations are IELTS 5.5 for foundation, IELTS 6.0 (some 6.5) for Bachelor's and IELTS 6.5 for Master's, with TOEFL iBT, PTE, MUET and often Duolingo accepted at level-equivalent scores. Waivers based on English-medium instruction plus a strong Class 12 or O-Level English result are frequently accepted, but the institution decides. Those are university benchmarks, not LSBF's ACCA requirement.
Entry to ACCA itself is governed by ACCA's own rules and your exemption assessment, not by a Malaysian university cutoff. Sort the exemption assessment first; it drives both your entry point and your cost.
After the qualification: be realistic
Malaysia does not offer a broad open post-study work visa of the kind Australia, New Zealand or Canada run. Staying on to work means an employer sponsors an Employment Pass after a job offer, and from 1 June 2026 the Employment Pass salary floors make this harder for fresh graduates, because many entry-level roles pay below the threshold. Treat an ACCA route through LSBF as a portable professional credential — one that travels with you to Nepal, the Gulf or elsewhere — rather than a stay-and-work plan for Malaysia.

Common questions
How much is the ACCA Professional Qualification (Online) at LSBF Malaysia in total?
LSBF MY publishes the fee per paper: from £350/paper at Applied Knowledge up to £795/paper at Strategic Professional. There is no single published total, because your total depends on how many papers you sit after ACCA grants your exemptions. Get your ACCA exemption assessment first, then ask LSBF MY to quote the exact papers you need. ACCA's own registration, subscription and exam fees are charged separately.
Are the fees in pounds or ringgit?
They are published in GBP, and our source states clearly that this is the LSBF global online-programme rate, not a Malaysia-campus ringgit rate. That means the amount in Nepali rupees also moves with the GBP exchange rate on the day you pay. Ask the Kuala Lumpur campus to confirm local pricing and the currency you will actually be invoiced in, in writing.
Can I study this ACCA programme from Nepal without a Malaysian visa?
It is delivered online, so ask LSBF MY to confirm in writing whether you can complete it from Nepal and where you would sit your ACCA exams. If you want to be in Malaysia instead, you must confirm separately that this programme is EMGS-approved for a Student Pass — not every programme at every Malaysian provider is. Never book flights before an eVAL is issued.
What IELTS score do I need for LSBF MY's online ACCA?
Our source does not publish an English requirement for this specific programme, so we will not put a number on it. Request the requirement directly from LSBF MY (lsbf.edu.my) and keep their reply. If you also want to compare university options where English requirements are published, use the Master Reckoner.
