BA (Hons) Business Management at Hud London: Fees 2026

BA (Hons) Business Management at Huddersfield London is £17,600 per year. Full fee table, visa funds, IELTS bar and entry notes for Nepali students.

The fee, in one line

BA (Hons) Business Management at the University of Huddersfield — London is £17,600 per year for international students, on a 3-year course with September and January intakes, leading to a BA (Hons) award (london.hud.ac.uk).

That figure is per year, not the whole course. The course page publishes the annual rate; your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) will state the fee and the amount you have already paid. Work out the three-year total yourself from the annual figure and check it against the CAS before you transfer anything.

What the course looks like on paper

Item Detail
Course BA (Hons) Business Management
Campus University of Huddersfield — London
Tuition £17,600/yr
Duration 3 yrs
Intakes September / January
Award BA (Hons)
Ranking Part of the University of Huddersfield (Complete University Guide 2027: 68th=). The London campus is not separately ranked.

Two things Nepali families ask immediately. First, the degree is a University of Huddersfield award — the London campus is a campus of the same university, not a separate institution. Second, the London campus is not ranked on its own, so do not go looking for a "Huddersfield London" position in a league table. It will not be there, and its absence means nothing about the award.

The other undergraduate courses at the same campus carry the same published rate:

Hud London undergraduate course Fee Duration Intake
BA (Hons) Business Management £17,600/yr 3 yrs Sep / Jan
BA (Hons) International Business £17,600/yr 3 yrs Sep / Jan
BSc (Hons) Computer Science £17,600/yr 3 yrs Sep / Jan

So if you are choosing between Business Management and International Business on price, price is not the deciding factor. Choose on module content and on what you want to do afterwards.

How £17,600 a year compares

The Huddersfield London rate is identical to the Yorkshire campus rate. You are paying the same tuition for a London postcode — the difference shows up in living costs, not in the fee.

Institution Bachelor's fee (per year) London for visa purposes?
University of Bradford (classroom-based) £16,100 No
University College Birmingham (Band 1) £16,500 No
Ulster University £17,490 No
University of Huddersfield £17,600 No
Huddersfield London £17,600 Yes
University for the Creative Arts (2026/27) £18,000 No
University of Exeter (science/engineering) £31,200 No

Read that table with the living-cost column beside it, not on its own. Bradford is the cheapest tuition here and sits in the lowest-cost region in this list. Hud London is mid-range on tuition but sits in the most expensive place to live.

The costs the visa actually checks

Tuition is only one half. The Home Office maintenance requirement is separate and is in addition to the tuition figure on your CAS. Because Huddersfield London is in London for Home Office purposes, the London rate applies.

Cost Figure
Maintenance — London (visa minimum) £1,483/month
Maintenance — outside London (visa minimum) £1,136/month
Maximum months counted 9 months, regardless of course length
London maintenance, 9 months £13,347
Outside-London maintenance, 9 months £10,224
Student visa application fee £558
Immigration Health Surcharge £1,035 per year
TB test £65

The London/non-London line is a Home Office definition tied to the institution's location — not a judgement about how urban a place feels. It is worth £347 a month. Confirm which side of the line the campus named on your offer falls on before you build the bank statement.

The 28-day rule is where applications fail

The maintenance amount must be held for 28 consecutive days, and the end of that 28-day period must be within 31 days of the visa application date. This is the single most common refusal point we see. Money that arrives in the account on day 20 resets your clock. Money in a sponsor's account without relationship evidence and a consent letter is a problem too — check whose name the account is in before you submit anything.

What London actually costs to live in

The visa floor for London is £1,483/month. A realistic London budget is £1,300 – £1,900/month, with £800 – £1,300/month going on a room or student hall. Those realistic and rent ranges are estimates built from sector norms, not official published figures — they are here so a family does not budget to the visa floor and run short in month four. London is the one place where the Home Office figure and the real cost sit close together.

Entry requirements

English

Huddersfield London publishes a clear bar for both undergraduate and postgraduate study:

Requirement Detail
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with no component lower than 5.5
IELTS Online / Indicator Not accepted
Validity 2 years
One Skill Re-Take Accepted at 6.0 with no component below 5.5
Password Skills Plus Accepted at the same level

The refusal that stings most is the one caused by booking the wrong test. IELTS Online and the IELTS Indicator are not accepted here — it is written down. Book the Academic test, and check the sitting date against the two-year validity window measured to your course start, not to your application date.

Academic

Huddersfield London publishes a country-by-country academic equivalency table, so your NEB/+2 result should be checked against that table rather than against a general "60%" rule of thumb you heard from a friend. You will also need NEB/+2 transcripts and certificates, and Nepalese documents may need official translation. A TB test certificate from a UKVI-approved clinic is required for Nepalese applicants on courses longer than six months.

Before you commit

  • The fee quoted is per year. Ask the admissions team in writing whether the rate is fixed for all three years or reviewed annually, and get the answer before you pay a deposit.
  • We hold no published scholarship figure for this course. Do not budget for a discount you have not been offered in writing on official letterhead.
  • The Graduate Route is 2 years for a bachelor's or master's graduate applying on or before 31 December 2026, and 18 months for anyone applying on or after 1 January 2027. It depends on the application date, not the course date.
  • Part-time work helps with living costs. Permitted hours depend on the course level and whether it is term-time or vacation, and are set on your CAS — read it rather than assuming. The National Living Wage for 21 and over is £12.71/hr from 1 April 2026. A budget that relies on part-time earnings to pay tuition is a budget that will fail.

Common questions

Is the fee for BA (Hons) Business Management at Hud London per year or for the whole degree?

Per year. The published figure is £17,600/yr and the course runs for 3 years. Your CAS will show the fee for the year it covers, plus any deposit already paid. Ask the university to confirm in writing whether the annual rate is held for the full course.

Does Huddersfield London cost more than the Huddersfield main campus?

The tuition is the same: £17,600/yr at both. The difference is the maintenance requirement and the day-to-day cost of living. London maintenance is £1,483/month against £1,136/month outside London — a gap of £347 a month on the Home Office figures alone, before rent.

How much money do I need in the bank for a London course?

£1,483 per month for a London course, for each month of the course up to a maximum of 9 months, which the Home Office states as £13,347. That is on top of the tuition shown on your CAS. It must be held for 28 consecutive days, ending within 31 days of the visa application date.

Will IELTS Online be accepted for this course?

No. Huddersfield London states that the online and Indicator tests are not accepted. The bar is IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with no component lower than 5.5, valid for 2 years, with One Skill Re-Take and Password Skills Plus accepted at the same level.
